Meet Barb
Early adapter, lifelong teacher, and wellness advocate
A Camp Hill native (Cedar Cliff alum. Class of ‘72) with a Penn State degree (‘76), Barb's journey in movement began and took root in New York City during the early 1980s. There, she discovered Pilates and Gyrotonic, unlocking not only a profound transformation in her own mobility and well-being, but also a passion she was compelled to share.
Inspired to teach, Barb became a certified Pilates instructor and in 1993 opened the first-ever Pilates studio in Orange County, NY, introducing a new wave of movement to the Hudson Valley.
Her adventurous spirit didn't stop there. Barb expanded her expertise in Austin, TX, earning full certifications in Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis, before heading south to Loreto, Mexico, where she taught for five more years at the edge of Baja's serene coast.
In 2024, Barb returned home to Camp Hill to be closer to family. She now offers personalized, expert-led sessions in Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis.
